Adopt-A-Stream - Established Group Procedures

Thank you for your dedication to improving water quality in Prince William County and the Chesapeake Bay!

Established Group Procedures

Step 1: To register your event and order supplies go to the DCR Adopt-A-Stream webpage, complete and submit the Stream Event Registration (supplies and paper work will be mailed directly to you).

Step 2: On the day of your event you are expected to dispose of the trash. If your trash clean up will be more than three to four bags of trash and you would like to schedule a county crew trash pick up, please contact the PWSWCD AAS Coordinator.

Step 3:
If you would like to borrow some litter grabbers please contact the PWSWCD AAS Coordinator.

Step 4: As a courtesy to PWSWCD, please inform us of your scheduled cleanup before the event.

Step 5: On the day of your cleanup, make sure you have volunteers sign a liability release and sign in sheet (found on the DCR Adopt-A-Stream web page).

Step 6: When your cleanup is completed, please go to the DCR Adopt-A-Stream webpage, complete and submit the online Stream Cleanup Data Form.

Step 7: We would love to get photos of your cleanupfor our record. Please send them to the PWSWCD AAS Coordinator.
